The Department of Normal Physiology of Aktobe State Medical Institute was organized in August 1958. The organizer of the department is E.G. Skipina, graduate of State Medical Institute of Almaty.
Ekaterina Georgievna Skipina - physiologist, biophysicist, doctor of medical sciences, professor. Ekaterina Georgievna after graduating in 1952 in postgraduate study in the physiology of the state medical institute of Almaty was left at the department of university as an assistant. In 1958 Ye.G. Skipina was sent to ASMI for the organization of the Department of Normal Physiology, gave lectures, controlled the quality of practical exercises, and independently provided the delivery of experimental animals from the laboratories in Moscow. For that period E.G.Skipina published more than 50 scientific papers on the physiology of blood circulation, the role of interreceptors in the reflex regulation of venous pressure, biophysics. For the first time E.G.Skipina created the scientific physiological concept of the motor center. In the period 1958-1960 teachers Bobrova Marina Vasilievna (later associate professor of the department until 1992), Candidate of Medical Sciences Penkina Zinaida Ivanovna, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Shchenyatsky Vladimir Ivanovich, who at that time carried out the main classical acute and chronic operations in animals according to the method of IP. Pavlova worked at the department.
